Bring sufficient energy in the village

Message body

Sluggish pace of Government actions has brought us only darkness in Chakauti even after 64 years of Independence. From Anna we can learn that nothing can be achieved without struggle. We need to find out what can we do bring light to the darkest corner of India, namely, Chakauti and to bring sufficient energy in the village so that we do not run away to the cities in search of our livelihood.

Agriculture in Chakauti worse hit by Government's policy of NREGA and attractions of big cities.

The most important element in India's economy and GDP is agricultural production. The current downfall in growth rate as well as the hurting inflation are in a major way due to mismanagement of agriculture, agricultural production and products.

Chakauti is the glaring example of these. Historically, the village has been having huge amount of grain production. But in the past few years, agriculture there has been  worst hit due to flight of agricultural labour to cities as well  by Government's policy of NREGA.  Very few industrious hardworking people like, Shri Girindra Mishra have ventured to continue their agricultural   activities. Rest all land holders have given their holdings for share cropping receiving very megre quantity as their share.  Agricultural inputs are so costly that the share cropper does not afford to put in right quantities. The result is low production. That is not all.  Lack of supervision on the part of the land owner deprives him further of his fare amount of share.

To take up cent percent of the electrification in the State, the State Govt. has entered into an agreement with Rural Electrification Corporation (REC), BSEB and the GOl power sector undertakings of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (PGCIL) and National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC).

This programme is being implemented under the GOl scheme for “Electrification of one lakh villages and one crore households”. The funding for this scheme is being made by REC as grant and loan components. The central undertakings are implementing the rural e1ectrification works in the 36 districts, with NHPC taking up works in West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Darbhanga, Samastipur and Madhubani. The remaining  districts are being taken up by PGCIL.

Unusual Visitor to Chakauti: Swami Seva Dass new activities at Sheetaleshwar Sthan

Sheetaleshwar Mahadeva has been blessing Chakauti villagers from  time immemorial. Most people of Chakauti have enjoyed His Blessings throughout historical times. The legend goes Lord Mahadeva prefers to stay there in a domeless, roofless temple in Chakauti and has thwarted the efforts of several people in the past to build a covered temple there.

Now Chakauti has a new guest in the shape of Baba Swami Seva Dass, who started a number of activities at Sheetleshwar Sthan in Satti in Chakauti. Among all, he has planned a Mahaa Rudra Yagya from June 2, 2011 to June 10, 2011 and  a Grand Temple for Lord Shiva by raising donations from the villagers and others.

To execute his plan, he plays with faith and miseries of people. He himself and some of his active volunteers are adicted to Bhaang and Ganjaa,  who alongwith  Baba have  Ganja sessions during day and night. He distributes to his selected devotees Ganjaa alongwith prasaad.

Those with diseases receive Dev Tulsi as his prasad. I was scared  to receive Dev Tulsi offered by him on the doubt of it being some sort of unexperimented drug, perhaps some form of Ganjaa,  He offers cures  for  variety of ailments to hapless villagers by using unknown botanical roots (Jarri) and his own magical powers. He flaunts a huge Jataa (unkempt lock of long hair) and prefers to remain Clothless(digambar), though he can also be seen with a loin cloth on.  He claims to know peoples past and predict future and throws comments like "you are troubled by planets - Tere ko grahon ki pareshaani hai" and  and thereafter demands huge unimaginable quantities of ingradients  for the forthcoming Yagya  to his targetted doner.
